Annie Peters

Annie Peters attended Kent State University earning a Masters of Art in Fine Arts and Akron University earning a Bachelor of Art in Art Education.  

Annie taught all aspects of art at Grand Valley High School (Orwell, Ohio) for 40 years. During that time she was awarded “Teacher of the Year” three times, and the Ruritans Outstanding Teacher Award.  Annie’s students excelled on both the national level and the local level, many of them pursuing careers in art.

Annie received an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Grant in sculpture (1990). She was an invited illustrator in ALLISTER CROMLEY’S FAIRWEATHER BELLE (Bedtime Stories For Grown Ups To Tell) written by Shane Portman, 2012.

Annie is also published in Glencoe McGraw Hill, Art e- Solutions, Experiences of a Traveling Art Teacher, Winter, 2010. Annie has exhibited her work in museums (including the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Southern Ohio Museum) as well as national and regional shows. She has been an invited juror and lecturer in Ohio and California.
