orange community art fest 2025

You’re Invited!

Join us for the very first Orange Community Art Fest, a free, family-friendly event hosted by the Orange Art Center, a division of Orange Community Education & Recreation. This one-day festival celebrates creativity, connection, and community through interactive art experiences for all ages.

Spend the day exploring hands-on art activities, touring our classrooms and studios, and meeting the talented instructors and artists who make the Orange Art Center a hub of creativity. The festival also features vendor tents with local artists and makers, live demonstrations, and interactive stations designed for both kids and adults.

Whether you’re an artist, an art lover, or just looking for a fun day out, the Orange Community Art Fest has something for everyone.

Event Highlights

Make + Take Art Stations & Live Demonstrations

Jump into hands-on fun with creative projects you can make and take home. Try paper marbling, collage-making, nature-inspired fairy doors, character illustration, and more. Then watch the magic happen with live demonstrations in painting, drawing, wheel throwing, and much, much more.

Vendor Tents Featuring Local Artists & Makers

Discover original work from Northeast Ohio artists and craftspeople. Shop one-of-a-kind goods: abstract paintings, fine art prints, handmade jewelry, ceramics, photography, textiles, and artisan treats. From atmospheric watercolors and sculptural collages to electroformed copper jewelry, this curated group of makers offers something for everyone.

Food Truck & Picnic Area

Grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink from Delish Mobile Kitchen, Woop Bubble Tea, Presa Street Sourdough and Sweet Treats, or art themed cookies from Go Sugar and relax in the shaded picnic area.

Community-Wide Mural Painting

Be part of the first Orange Community Art Fest mural. Join artist team Snack Break Studio, the partnership of graphic designer Kim Lavery and painter Roni Callahan, for a live, collaborative painting experience at the Orange Art Center on Saturday, August 16 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Presented in partnership with the Moreland Hills DEIB Commission, this project invites community members of all ages to help paint a mural that celebrates unity, creativity, and connection. The mural will be painted on six panels during the event and later installed across the Orange City School District community. Check out the awesome sketch mock-up below!

OAC Open House

Cool off inside the Orange Art Center to explore our open studios, meet instructors, and enjoy hands-on activities throughout the day. While you're here, celebrate the opening of The Many Hues Between Brown and Blue, a new solo exhibition by Lauren Sylvia, our current Emerging Artist in Residence. Meet the artist and view her layered multimedia works, which reflect themes of love, memory, and devotion.

And much more!
