AMI KAMERER

Ami Kamerer graduated from Cleveland State, with a degree in Art Education, and a concentration in Ceramics.

She has taught K-12 public education for the last 10 years, and has been rated an accomplished teacher the last 5 years. Her philosophy of teaching reflects the art process being as important as the finished product. She creates lessons that help her students become design thinkers, and explore many possible outcomes in art. She strives for her students to become reflective on their work, comfortable with ambiguity, and learn from each other in a community setting.

She has taken continuing education/masters classes in drawing, painting, and ceramics. She has also taught numerous camps, and art workshops throughout northeast Ohio.

In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her dog Lucy, and going on hikes. She loves creating art in many different mediums, and spending time with family.
